MAPLE GROVE, MN — A large electrical project could cause traffic issues near Maple Grove Senior High School over the next few days, with Xcel Energy set to close a portion of Fernbrook Lane. The energy company said it will shut down Fernbrook Lane between 99th Avenue and County Road 81 on Thursday while crews work on a large underground electrical duct project. The road is expected to reopen Sunday, Xcel said. Traffic will be detoured around the closure using County Road 81, Maple Grove Parkway, Upland Lane and 93rd Avenue, the company said.
