Description

Celebrate this Holy Night. Gather by car for social distance to remember and relive the inspiring story. Bring a flashlight. Are you looking for a way to be social distanced and celebrate Christmas Eve? When so much feels uncertain in a pandemic, are you hoping to hear again the story of the birth of Jesus Christ to Mother Mary and Joseph in troubled times? We will be holding a drive-in Christmas Eve Service in the parking lot of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church at 187 East Road, Hampstead, New Hampshire. The service can be heard over the FM radio on your car in the parking lot. Parking will be limited, so please reserve tickets now. It is also helpful if you can arrive a little early for parking directions. Due to COVID, the restrooms of the church will unfortunately generally be unavailable to the public. When the moment for the beloved carol "Silent Night" arrives, turn on the flashlight, electric/battery operated candle or the flashlight on your cell phone. It won't be the same as Silent Night by candle light like most years, but there will be something holy and touching to hold our light in the winter dark as Silent Night is played.
