Press release from Anchorage Chamber of Commerce :
October 19, 2021
Kids under 18 will be able to receive free dental care on Oct. 22, as UAA hosts its first-ever Children's Day. UAA dental students will be extending free preventative care to children whose parents are on a limited budget or have no dental insurance. Dental services include dental exams, X-rays, cleanings, fluoride and sealants. These services are provided to the patients at no cost and services are performed by dental programs students, under the supervision of a licensed dentist and several licensed hygienists and assistants. Along with providing dental services to those in need, the event allows UAA students an opportunity to participate in a humanitarian project while gaining hours needed to complete their degree. Children's Day will be held Oct. 22, 2021, with appointments at 8:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. in suite 131 of the Allied Health Sciences building
