NORTHPORT, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit says multiple shootings occurred in Northport Tuesday afternoon, but details are still unclear following news that at least one person has died and multiple victims resulted from the violence. Once one scene, Patch observed one person in a state of grief that confirmed the human toll exacted during the shootings. A short drive away on McFarland Boulevard, a large police presence could also be seen at Wendy's, where investigators had evidence markers scattered along the drive-thru side of the restaurant's parking lot.
