Skill Development Workshop II: Smooth to Pre-Finish This session covers techniques to take the true and square boards from the "Rough to Smooth" workshop (Skill Development I) to a pre-finish stage. Participants will learn how to use power machines including, drill press, trim and hand routers, table router, and bandsaw. Jointing boards through the use of biscut jointer and doweling will be covered. The workshop will cover the various types of power sanders in the shop (oscillating spindle, oscillating belt, horizontal belt, random orbital) and discuss techniques for surface preparation and repairs prior to finishing. This workshop is exclusive to Lowell Makes members.
