Press release from the City of Mobile Police Department: Oct 20, 2021 On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Mobile Police officers responded to the area of Michigan Avenue, and Melrose Street in reference to shots fired complaint.  Upon arrival, police officers observed a vehicle had struck a church at the 1200 block of Rev. A.T. Days Street and discovered Samuel Bishop, age 53, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.    This is an active homicide investigation.  We will release updates as information becomes available.
