Position: Facilities Manager
3100 Grand Homeowner’s Association has an immediate opening for a Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation and overall maintenance of a sixty-five-unit condominium in Des Moines.
Job Summary:
Under direction of the Board, the employee performs general maintenance and repair of building and property primarily outside of units. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
varied HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and preventative maintenance tasks of building interior, exterior, and common areas
mowing, snow removal and basic grounds keeping
providing informed assessment of out-sourced maintenance needs; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with vendors and service contractors; scheduling, coordinating and overseeing work performed by outside vendors/contractors.
pool maintenance and upkeep
implementing a building-wide preventative maintenance program
assisting residents in identifying maintenance service needed within their units
cleaning duties and special projects as assigned
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of general building maintenance experience or equivalent training
experience in multi-family maintenance involving public contact
basic understanding or interest in learning HVAC systems
physically fit and able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, balance, carry, etc.
valid driver’s license
availability for 24-hour emergency maintenance
Certified Pool Operator preferred but not required
Salary: Negotiable based on experience and hours to be worked.
