SeeScan is looking for a Senior Accountant with extensive experience working in a manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will perform a variety of accounting duties and interact with many different departments across the organization. Our ideal candidate is proactive, flexible, and pays close attention to the details. Responsibilities • Maintain certain journals and ledgers and ensure accuracy of certain general ledger accounts. • Analyze and report on various financial measures of company operations. • Support month-end closing processes including preparation of certain workpaper, schedules, and reconciliations. • Assist accounts receivable and accounts payable on an ad hoc basis. • Other accounting functions depending on candidate’s experience and interest level. Qualifications • Knowledge and experience in the following areas: • General ledger accounting • Full accounting cycle • Experience processing of accounting transactions in a manufacturing environment • Previous experience working with outside auditors on year-end review and tax return preparation. • Ability to analyze a wide variety of financial and operational measures. • Proficiency using an advanced ERP system, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal departments and outside organizations to inform and resolve issues. • Ability to work remotely at home when required. • Having an understanding of payroll, benefits, taxes, insurance, and contracts is a plus. Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or in business with emphasis in accounting, or equivalent experience. • At least five years of diverse accounting experience performing the stated skills in a manufacturing environment.
