Description
Hi folks,
I'm currently based in Eugene but have my sights set on PDX. Right before COVID hit I was hoping to really take up my gigging and recording chops up as many notches as I could and maybe start making enough to move, but... well, you remember.
I'm still not sure when I'll be able to afford to move. With my current band commitment it will be next summer at the earliest. But I'd like to get to know some more folks up there and make some inroads. I could work remotely by sending tracks back and forth, and could potentially travel up there for very occasional jams or shows. I'm potentially up for tours - my only other work can be done remotely on my own schedule.
My main focuses are keyboards and arranging. I'm also composer, quite amateur producer, and play percussion, electric bass, ukulele, bandoneon, and backup vocals. I have classical and jazz training, and mostly consider myself a pop musician now. I have extensive experience and training in tango, and am currently in a reggae/ska band. In addition I've played and enjoyed jazz, blues, soul, funk, R&B, swing, rock, folk, Americana, batucada/samba, South American folk, North Indian classical, gamelan, and various classical genres. I'm pretty versatile as a musician, relatively tech-savvy, and I also know how to practice/prepare for rehearsals and gigs.
Here is my best studio piano work. We recorded these in the studio but I recorded new piano and organ tracks afterward. I could lay down tracks from anywhere. ospreyfliesthenest [dot] bandcamp [dot] com/album/earth

And here's my youtube channel where you can get an idea of some of what else I do.

Would especially like to meet fellow LGBTQ+ musicians!
