Martel Construction, Inc. will be evaluating candidates to serve as a part time Resource Manager. Position is hourly and is anticipated to require 24-32 hours per week. Schedule may be flexible Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Opportunities to work from home from time to time may be possible. Our firm, founded in 1960, provides construction services from offices in Bozeman, Bigfork, and Missoula, MT. We are capable and seek to self-perform significant elements of most of our projects. A 25,000 square foot state-of-the-art millwork shop in Missoula supports the entire company. Essential Job Functions: • Recruit, hire, and onboard new company employees – in a team environment or independently. • Visit Job sites regularly to plan for and meet each project’s human and equipment needs both immediately and in the future in conjunction with Project Superintendents and Managers. • Attend job fairs and work with public and private job agencies to recruit top industry talent. • Network with all company employees to obtain referrals and oversee our referral program. • Network with high school and post-secondary trade educators to find students who fit our company culture and have a desire for a career in the industry. • Work with the Safety and Marketing Director with marketing and operational elements of your responsibilities. • Work with the Shop Managers with the tools and equipment elements of your responsibilities. • Plan for and budget for needed tools and equipment. These may be job specific or overall company assets. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. • Experience in the construction industry. • Must be an effective communicator. • Must have a valid driver’s license. • Must be able to operate typical office technology, such as a computer, copier, printer, calculator. • A verifiable history of organizational, time management, and people skills. • A reputation for being self-motivated and directed. Working Conditions: • Orient new hires at construction job sites during all stages, in all types of weather conditions. • Must be able to speak & hear detailed information through oral communication. • Must be able to see clearly and recognize small details. Compensation: • Compensation Range: $25.00 - $30.00 / Hour D.O.E • Mobile Phone: We will provide or reimburse you for your monthly phone services that may be used for a reasonable amount of personal and business purposes. • Family Insurance: Team members and their families are covered under our Group Health Insurance Program.
