Description

We are looking for a Framing Carpenter to help us construct residencies as per the clients’ specifications in northern Montana. You should be a precise and detail-oriented person when performing your duties. Your familiarity and knowledge of different types of building materials will help in handling these projects. You should hold good communication skills and the ability to listen, retain and execute instruction given to you by your supervisor.  As stated above this is a traveling position that will require time on assignment, out of state for durations up to 21 days at a time, with 7 days off following. With that being said, lets clarify what we will provide for you. Lodging: You will be hosted in the guest lodge on the property. We are building several properties for a resort in northern Montana. During our time on assignment, the resort has offered us lodging on site with turndown service. The rooms are very nice, very spacious and have plenty of room to rest and relax after your shift. Food: Tuesday - Saturday the Resort has a chef on staff that will provide you with dinner. He will simply notify you when your meals are ready, and have you pick them up at the community center. These are not Bologna Sanwiches, Cheetos and a Juice Box. They take very good care of us. (Prime rib, Brisket, Spaghetti & Meatballs, 1/2lb Burgers etc.). On Sunday and Monday you will be responsible for your own fare. Travel: You will receive a $150 travel stipend per trip. This is to ensure drive time is compensated and you have money for food and drink while you are on the road. Fuel/ Expenses: You will receive reimbursement for fuel expenses to and from assignment location. Transportation: It is very valuable to us if you have your own reliable vehicle, preferably a truck or SUV that can make it to and from our job location (approx. 580 miles from Boise Metro Area). If you do not, we will provide you company transportation in which you will haul necessary crew equipment and other crew members at a negotiated rate. Pay Frequency: You will be paid weekly. Every Friday, backdated from the previous week just like any other company. If you work a full week, you will be paid your full salary for that week the following Friday. Bonuses and Incentives: If the crew is strong, and we maintain a consistent schedule, you will be eligible for a project performance bonus. If you have any additional questions please feel free to ask. ** Unless you are a bachelor, we also urge you to speak with your family and make sure this is a viable option (and entertain the opinions of your loved ones). This is a great opportunity, yes. However, traveling can be stressful on your family if it is not handled properly and with care. If your house is not in order, your work wont be either. ** Let’s move along to what will be asked of you. The ideal candidate will need to possess the following attributes (these are non negotiable). Able to communicate, ask questions and work as part of a team to accomplish a common goal. * Must be able to identify inconsistencies and inefficiencies in the building process and adjust course to keep job on schedule * Ability to work out of town, away from home for up to 3 weeks at a time.
