REWARD for information leading to conviction of persons who stole and trashed property on Pine street behind Shadowrock hotel, Forsyth. $2000. Forsyth police Case # 19-3139 On November fifth, 2019 around 15:00, and after a long absence and tiring return trip, I returned to find my property trashed and looted. This lot is my storage area. Everything was neatly packed and stacked. Missing are firearms, mattress, refrigerators, wheels from trailer, lots of tools and boxes, electric breaker panel from wall, etc. Rough estimate $50,000 loss and damage. They must have spent days if not weeks or months there. A partial list is included below. I reported to local police who complained my shaking hands were not filling out his form neatly for the prosecutor. They demanded I write down information I did not have available. They called the fire department having whispered conversations. When I asked what all the whispering was about. They loudly told me, " It's none of my business. " One yelled at me repeatedly, " it's all your fault ". After threatening me with a citation they informed me I was lucky because they could not figure out how to fill out the form / citation. The shorter policeman strutted in and out the front door, preening his mustache and making what appeared to be blatantly wrong announcements about how the house was broken into. ( The windows are unlocked. ) Hell, almost all the doors and windows were unlocked now. To include my ladder being used to get in the attic. Locks were cut from the trailer. This despite the fact that one door would not close. and the plate was dangling loose. The other side of the house had a window air conditioner cocked halfway out the window. Exhausted from my travels and tiring of the abuse, I asked if that was all and returned to my RV. Stepping out to walk my dog I noted one of the police had left leaving the other there, I asked where he went. I was repeatedly informed no one knew were he went or why and told I should stay there. I asked if I was being detained and he threatened me again with a citation " because of my attitude in asking if I was being detained. " The next day I found an amazing amount of items left by the thief / thieves. Partially filled plastic coke bottle with cap, cigarette butts, plastic water bottle, large mason jar with fluid, lamp with working battery, etc. All now locked up and in situ. I don't smoke, drink Coke, or buy bottled water. I've repeatedly contacted the Taney county prosecutor's office with no response. I do not wish to alter the crime scene until evidence is correctly processed. In my opinion, I have experienced an outstanding episode of arrogance, incompetence, and malfeasance by the Forsyth police department. I now fear further contact and abuse. 1.
