Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technicians perform tests on soils, concrete, and asphalt both in the field and in the lab. Clients request our testing services to serve as quality control for certain aspects of their projects. The tests CMT Technicians perform verify if materials meet specifications.
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction sites.
Performs field inspection and testing.
Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity to lift and move 70 lbs., stoop, bend and stand throughout the course of up to a 12-hour workday in varying weather conditions at various construction sites with varying terrain.
Maintains a clean work area: picks up and cleans all tools and equipment.
Performs materials handling and storage.
Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.
Ensures that proper personal protective equipment is worn on all job sites. Brings problems to the attention of your manager or HR manager.
Possess the ability to fluently read and understand procedures
Safely operate Gessner Engineering vehicles on the road and within job sites
Education/Experience:
High school degree or GED certification
