Portland OR

Description

I’m looking for some people who want to learn and jam on covers of the early rockabilly, RnR, RnB, country classics and blues1950-65, I play rhythm guitar and some lead, +vocals in a limited range. I’ve got a line on an inexpensive practice space with keys, piano, drum set, amps, and other benefits, near Reed College. I need 2-3 people to fill it up and round it out. Drummer, keyboard player, harp, bass, and/or vocals (male or female). I’m thinking to meet once a week or for an hour or two. Informal, just for fun, no plans to form a band. Ages 18+. No drugs, no smoking, no politics, skill levels from advanced beginner to comfortable intermediate. Play, learn, share, grow, have fun with music. If this sounds interesting to you, if you like that era of music, if you know any of this work: Eddie, Gene, Jerry Lee, Wanda Jackson, Elvis, Stones, Hank Williams SR., or if you just want to try out or learn some riffs with a group, email me, let me know. We’ll talk. I’m not a music teacher. There is no cost or fee beyond the shared cost of the studio, which in total is only $25 per hour, which will be split evenly between however many show up in a session. 3 people? $8 ea. 4 people? $6 ea. And so on. Still considering other locales. Fully vaxxed only, please. A note: I grew up with this kind of music, but I’m still younger than Mick Jagger. If age worries you, this may not be your gig. Ray.
