I am a 37 year old guitarist coming out of a long hiatus from music. I want to start a heavy metal band in an 80s style. I need a singer, a bass player, and a drummer. My vision for this band is this: A foundation in 80s heavy metal with some progressive and "exotic" influences, as well as a bit of synth (I produce synthwave music from time to time.) My influences include Iron Maiden, Rainbow, Dokken, Lynch Mob, Yngwie Malmsteen, Pantera (Cowboys from Hell album), Nocturnal Rites, Marty Friedman, Queensryche, Animals as Leaders, Destiny's End, Judas Priest, etc. etc. I have riffs and song ideas. I would like to get in touch with other people who can work on these ideas with me. Once we have some songs written and rehearsed, we can think about gigging and recording. If you can play or sing at a high level and love at least some of the music I mentioned, get in touch with me and we'll talk more about what I have in mind. Let's create something awesome.
