We are rated among the top cat sitting services in Evanston and we are always looking for dynamic, caring and trustworthy cat lovers to join our expanding team. If you love to spend time with cats, are a self-starter, and are able to work independently and manage a changing schedule, this is the job for you! Cat Sitters needed for the following locations: Evanston, Rogers Park, Skokie, Wilmette, Winnetka, Kenilworth, Morton Grove, Rogers Park / Zip Codes: 60201, 60202, 60203, 60091, 60076, 60077, 60093, 60043, 60053, 60626, 60645, 60646, 60712 Current available positions: Cat Sitters: Cat visits that include feeding, watering, playtime and companionship, administration of medicine (if needed), litter box maintenance, plant watering and mail/newspaper retrieval. Daily Morning/Afternoon/Weekend: Shifts occurring between 7am-2pm Fill-in Cat Sitters: Sitters who fill in for sitters who are off, with visits sometime between the hours of 7am-1pm during the week -- you choose the days. Daily Afternoon/Evening/Weekend: Shifts occurring between 2pm-9pm How We Work: We have found that this type of work is great as a permanent part time position or for someone looking to supplement his or her current income. Requirements: • You have a reliable car. • You live within 10-15 minutes of one of our service areas: (Evanston, Rogers Park, Skokie, Wilmette, Winnetka, Kenilworth, Lincolnwood and Morton Grove). • You are available on weekends and for at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years (Don’t worry, you’ll be able to have a holiday too, and you’ll be paid more during holidays). • Background and References: you must (1) be at least 21 years old (2) provide personal and professional references (3) submit previous employers for verification (4) pass background/criminal check is a position is offered • You need to have: (1) a computer with access to the internet, (2) access to a printer, (3) a working smartphone with cellular data that can use our software app, and that has texting capabilities. • You can commit to working for us for at least one year. Due to the bonding that occurs between sitter and cat(s), we require at least a one-year commitment to work with our company on an ongoing basis for any position with Purrfect Pawz N Palz Cat Sitting LLC. Please let us know if you have any questions about this or are unable to commit to us for the next year. Qualifications: • You are looking for a long-term position. We rarely hire for temporary or seasonal help. • You must be observant of behavior in cats, and be able to handle emergency situations with a calm, cool head. • You must be comfortable learning new computer software and technologies. • You must have superb time management and organizational skills and should be able to follow very detailed written instructions. • You must be comfortable with cleaning up accidents, such as vomiting or poop. • You must be willing to work in any type of weather and be extremely reliable and dedicated. Calling out last minute is only acceptable in emergency situations. • And of course, we expect that you love cats! You don't have to have prior cat work experience, but we find it helpful if you've had cats of your own before.
