Description

To inspect and perform routine maintenance and repairs on Company equipment. Experience and solid technical knowledge with the ability to possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Job Duties • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed • Conduct tests and inspections of equipment to evaluate quality or performance • Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work • Observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems • Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas • Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications • Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information • Read work orders, blueprints, repair manuals and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance • Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment • Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished • Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse to maintain machinery and work areas • Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment Job Requirements • High School Diploma or GED Equivalence required • A minimum of two (2) years of professional maintenance experience • Related degree from a technical college (preferred) • Knowledge of equipment, machines, and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Experience with precision measuring instruments, electronic testing devices, and common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, etc. • Basic Knowledge of equipment design, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Working Conditions and Physical Requirements • Ability to lift tools and certain equipment which can weigh up to 50 lbs. constantly, and 50-75 lbs. frequently • Ability to work in unusual or extreme elements; such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus • Physical demands require frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, stooping, and crouching This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for his or her job.
