We are currently seeking someone with a great customer service personality with at least 3-5 years class "C” driver experience as well as demonstrated knowledge of pickup and delivery procedures. This job involves retrieving palletized shipments from local venders and delivering these pallets s to local SF Express offices. There are lifting requirements and candidate should expect to drive approximately 50% of the time with remaining time working in the warehouse. Candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of how to complete a DOT drivers log and have experience driving a forklift. Responsibilities: - Properly maintain all Drivers’ Logs as required by DOT regulations. - Adhere to all driving regulations while delivering parcel/ boxes to customers throughout the local area. - Deliver items to customers safely and on time. - Must safely drive in and out of the customer’s loading area as well as over the road. - Must consistently provide quality customer service to customers during the delivery process. - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete vehicle inspection report daily. - Unload heavy items from the vehicle using a hand truck or unloading devise. - Maintain neat and clean logbooks and necessary paperwork throughout the day - Other Warehouse duties assigned by supervisor Requirements: - Valid Class “C” Driver License is required; Able to drive a truck - Clean DMV record a must - Minimum of 2 years customer service job experience dealing with the public is a must 3-5 years of class C driving experience is required. - Must be able to squat/lift and travel up and down stairs if required - Excellent customer service skills a must - High school diploma or GED is required. - Must be 21 years of age or older Must pass a background check, physical and drug test and agree to be placed in a Dot required random drug and alcohol test pool.
