Conlon Construction is actively hiring a Shop Technician for its facility in Dubuque, IA! As a Shop Technician you will assist with the coordination, receiving, storing, and issuing of equipment, tools, and supplies in the shop and yard. You will also be responsible for tool, vehicle and heavy-duty equipment maintenance and upkeep, as well as maintaining a clean shop work environment. Job Duties: • Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems • Assist in the training of other technicians or Shop Laborers as needed • Travel to job sites for repair/maintenance of equipment when necessary (mostly local travel) • Prepare and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts • Inspect equipment for damage and/or malfunctions Job Requirements: • High school diploma/GED • CDL, preferred • 3+ years of experience repairing and maintaining equipment and tools, preferred • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various engines • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems Benefits & Perks: • Health, dental and vision insurance • 401k with matching employer contributions • Paid Time Off • Vacation • Paid sick time • Life insurance Conlon Construction has been in business since 1903, is a 4th-generation family-owned construction company and has built a solid reputation in the Dubuque, IA area.
