A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN / TRUCK UPFITTER As a Production Technician / Truck Upfitter, you assemble our customers' trucks with their customized components. You regularly perform electrical wiring and assemble/attach various customized components to trucks. These can include cabinets, drawers, cranes, hydraulic hoses, or lift gates. Your mechanical knowledge and skills come in handy as you perform heavy-duty and commercial automotive repair and maintenance. Happy to help where needed, you assist your team with keeping our shop clean and organized. You love working with your hands each day and using your unique welding and mechanical expertise to give our customers the trucks of their dreams! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN / TRUCK UPFITTER Experience working on medium/heavy-duty or commercial vehicles Experience with metal inert gas (MIG) welding Willing to obtain heavy-duty truck mechanic certification in drive train, brakes and braking systems, suspension and steering, and electrical systems Basic math skills Must have own tools Do you use your time well and stay productive? Are you committed to safety? Do you have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal? Are you professional with high ethical standards? Do you have strong problem-solving skills? WORK SCHEDULE This full-time automotive repair position typically works Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with some overtime during our busy season of early fall to mid-winter.
