Hosted in a former bank building, Kin DAO presents NFT artworks shifting definitions of value. The Kin Dao and The Local Maker Mart present their offical premiere of Hyphae, a real life NFT Art Exhibition. Hyphae, defined as the branching filaments that make up the mycelium of a fungus, represents the beginnings of communal art bridge building and value shifting. Hosted in a former bank building, Hyphae transforms a container that traditionally upheld extractive value structures that disrupt our life systems into one that facilitates perspective shifts to collectively redefine worth. This exhibition emphasizes the importance of blockchain technology as a tool to cultivate equitable systems that reward creative collaboration, innovative solutions and decentralized, community directed governance. As blockchain usage grows exponentially, NFT’s have the potential to completely transform world markets beyond just art - touching the realms of real estate, intellectual property, medicine and more. With these movements, a creative renaissance is already underway that is providing credit, wealth and stability to innovators and artists. Hyphae offers the education needed for all to actively mold our collective future using blockchain technology into one that upholds the values of collaboration, connection, regeneration and sustainability. Kin DAO will be hosting workshops centered around digital wellness, blockchain basics, and NFT art to pair with the art shown and educate newcomers about this digital evolution. As the exhibition grows in time, so will the interactive installations planned to pop up for community engagement. Kindness Grocery Cooperative, an innovative hybrid cooperative, launched The Kin DAO in September of 2021 as a digital branch of their cooperative operation. Their intention; to use blockchain technology to bring equitable systems to the real world through NFT art, education, collective land purchase and regenerative practices. The Kin DAO plans to provide the tools necessary for all to participate in worldwide digital advancements while solidifying real world stability by collectively purchasing farm land to expand the sustainable community work of Kindness Grocery Cooperative. Hyphae has been curated by Asya Abdrahman, co-curated by Adrian Bello and sponsored by Canvia, NEAR and Musepop. The exhibition will be featuring artists EFAM, Anna Talhami, BitSavage, Howie Whitehouse, Peter Eller, Kush, Gabe Sherman, Shamell Bell, Taliq Tillman, Maggie Flaherty and other outstanding guests.
