Walk (or a short car ride) to a Westlake Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. We will be gathering at the end of Trailview Mesa Dr There will be 3 races Race 1 - Kids 6 and under (distance to be determined - but short) 8:30am https://www.plotaroute.com/route/977281 Race 2 - 1 mile (any age - but focused mostly on kids - Possible medals for first 3 places) 8:45am https://www.plotaroute.com/route/977277 Race 3 - 5K - All ages welcome.  Walk, run, skip, hop. Costumes welcome. 9:00 (ish) https://www.plotaroute.com/route/977274 (5K) https://www.plotaroute.com/route/977276 (3K - Alternative Option) Depending on interest, we will have donuts, bagels, hot chocolate and coffee at the finish.  Also there have been some questions from people who would like to bring something.  We will supply breakfast snacks and make sure that we follow safe COVID protocols for serving. We will be gathering at the end of Trailview Mesa Dr in West Rim Estates at the entrance to Teak Hawk Cv.  In 2019, we found this gathering spot allowed us to safely manage the kids races.  I have used the address of one of the homes in WRE, but they are not affiliated with the race. *SAFETY: We have received some concern about residents being able to leave during this activity.  I do not envision that there will be enough of a turnout that we will block driveways, but please park your car in a way that doesn't create any issues for people trying to get to the downtown Turkey Trot.  This is only a meetup and not an actual "event". This invitation is only meant to inform you about the meetup location and time.  Roads will still be in regular use and you will need to be careful of moving vehicles.  Everyone will still be responsible for themselves, their children and for making sure that you are safe and adhere to the proper use of the roads in our neighborhoods.
