FAQs
Where do I drop-off/pick-up my student?
Please drop off your student at McConnell Hall no later than 7:30am so that they may meet his or her TAMS Ambassador before classes start. Pick-up is at 2:00pm from McConnell Hall
What do I need to bring?
Please bring around $10 for lunch in one of the dining halls on campus.
You will also be asked to fill out paperwork regarding permission from your parents and health data in order to be on campus without a parent. This paperwork will be sent via email to confirm attendance.
What should I wear?
Dress is casual, like you would dress for any normal school day. Keep in mind that you'll be walking around campus with your TAMS Ambassador, so comfortable shoes are advised.
TAMS is a two-year program (grades 11 & 12) for high-ability students considering STEM careers. Students fully enroll at the University of North Texas and receive a scholarship for their participation in the program. TAMS is not in session during the summer. After two years, students will have earned 57 or more college credits and may continue their education at UNT, or transfer to other universities in state or out, usually at advanced standing.
