Senior Maintenance Worker – Streets Streets & Traffic Engineering Division Public Works Department Application deadline: Monday, November 8, 2021 Visit www.icgov.org/jobs to apply online One permanent full time position available Full salary range: $62,046.40 – $78,728.00 Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm Job summary: Under direction, directs work crews and participates in the construction, maintenance and repair of City streets and related facilities. Minimum qualifications: High school degree or equivalent required. Four years of experience in street construction and maintenance work required. Fork lift certification required. Rock quarry and sand plant certification required. Must live within 17 miles of the corporate limits of Iowa City, Iowa within one year of appointment to the position. Valid Iowa Class B commercial driver's license with satisfactory driving required. Valid Iowa Class A commercial driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsements required within 6 months of hire. This position is subject to federal drug testing requirements. A pre-employment drug screen is required. Must be 18 years of age per Iowa Code 92.8. Must pass criminal background check.
