Hello all! We recently adopted a two year old male rat whose bonded partner had passed away. We hoped to introduce him to our pair of young males (~6mo), but they were aggressive toward him and it doesn't seem they will be living together after all! I am wondering if anyone has or knows of another lonely elderly male rat who could possibly use a partner! I am willing to meet up and see how they get along, we are also willing to let him go to a loving home if they are unwilling to part with their guy! We don't yet have a permanent enclosure for a pair, but plan to upgrade if/when we find him a partner! He's a sweet fellow and is willing to cuddle and can be very curious once trust is established and he opens up, though he doesn't seem to enjoy initially being picked up. He can be shy, though, sometimes choosing to hide in a blanket snoozing for most of the day! Please shoot me an email if you have a guy that comes to mind! We hate seeing him all by himself! Thanks!
