October 19 at 6 p.m. | Sean SaintSean Saint is the founder & CEO of Companion Medical, which was recently acquired by Medtronic. Sean is a Cal Poly alum (Mechanical Engineering ‘99) who developed the InPen, the only FDA-cleared smart insulin pen & app on the market. He's on a mission to revolutionize diabetes care with new technology.
October 26 at 6 p.m. | Alydia Health reunionAlydia Health was comprised of co-founders Jessie Becker Alexander (OCOB ‘11) and Nathan Bair, with lead engineer Amelia Degenkolb (MS BMED, ‘12). Alydia Health, recently acquired by Organon/Merck for $240 million, developed the Jada System to treat postpartum hemorrhage and abnormal uterine bleeding.
These MedTech-inspired events are in partnership with Cal Poly Entrepreneurs (CPE) and Cal Poly Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. It is being moderated by CPE president, Arman Avedian (COSAM ‘23) who is pursuing his degree in economics, with a minor in physics and CPE director of meetings, and Lane Altbaum (OCOB '23) who is pursuing his degree in business administration, with a focus on entrepreneurship.
