AJ Vallejo's Brodie Lane returns to Barrels & Amps! Brodie Lane (featuring AJ Vallejo) returns to Barrels & Amps. Formed by Austin, TX veteran songwriter/vocalist/guitarist AJ Vallejo, the band naturally came together by default with the city mostly in shutdown from jam sessions to pass the slowed time with long-time drinking buddies & neighbors, Bruce Castleberry (guitar), Alex Geismar (drums), & Joe Fladger (bass). Supporting Brodie Lane is Mayani. Her nuanced, passionate vocals belie her modest age. A young artist on the rise, Mayani sets any stage on fire, belting soulful vocals that can best be described as a cross between a young Janis Joplin and seasoned Aretha Franklin, delivered with the vitality of contemporary artists such as Hayley Williams or Demi Lovato.
