This class will teach about the care and pruning of apricot, plum and pluot trees. University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is an outreach arm of the University that extends unbiased, research-based knowledge to local communities. Educational programs and projects are developed based on local needs in partnership with other agencies and volunteers. Master Gardener, Yutaka Nomura will teach you how to care for your trees, how to keep them healthy and how to prune for best fruit production. Part of class instruction will be indoors and part will be outdoors where the demonstration of the basic pruning techniques particular to apricot, plum and pluot trees will take place.
