Are you a college student or young person looking for an internship in news media, or an intern looking to get hired? Find out how -- here! The 2021 Minnesota Society of Professional Journalists Intern Night is a great opportunity to learn about journalism internships throughout the state, network with media professionals and meet fellow journalism students from local colleges. No previous internship experience is required to attend! Small-group breakout sessions after our panel will offer "speed dating"-style meetings with top professionals in the industry. Panelists will include (but not be limited to!): Minnesota Public Radio, Deputy Managing Editor Nancy Lebens The Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal, Editor Dirk DeYoung The Star Tribune, Sports Reporter/Internship Committee Megan Ryan Minnesota Reformer, Deputy Editor Max Nesterak (Moderator) The University of Minnesota, Senior Lecturer and Practicum Coordinator Gayle Golden Pioneer Press, Intern and University of Minnesota student Ava Kian More panelists are being added! Details: Tuesday, Nov. 9 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication 111 Murphy Hall, Room 130 206 Church St SE Minneapolis, MN 55455 Space is limited at this free event: Only 65 spots are available. If you register and cannot attend, you must notify MN SPJ immediately so we can open available spots to those who can attend. Limited to two tickets per person. Mask use is required by the University of Minnesota -- non-negotiable. Parking is available at metered spots on nearby streets or in nearby parking ramps.
