About Ponderosa Millworks We use urban logs normally overlooked by the lumber/wood industry. These logs are milled into slabs at our West Oakland facility, dried, surfaced, and made available for sale to the general public and wood working professionals of all kinds. We are a full service sawmill offering milling, planing, sanding, as well as finishing. We also design fabricate custom furniture and fine carpentry services for our clients. 
We are seeking to hire an entry level apprentice to work in the shop. (this is a job for someone who knows basically nothing and wants to learn) What you need to have: open mind, open eyes, open to learning work ethic, you must be here on time, stay off your phone, get work done, Have the ability to lift 80 pounds, safely, and often. (We will teach you how if you do not know) What helps: If you’re mechanical or lean towards a mechanical mindset. If you are artistic and have a eye for design.
