More Melrose Detours, Impacts From Bridge Replacement

MELROSE, MA — Lynn Fells Parkway will once again close for bridge replacement work this weekend. Work will take place beginning Friday at 8 p.m. and last through Monday at 5 a.m. During that time, the Parkway will be closed vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic. You can see a detour map above. The work will also suspend Commuter Rail service on the Haverhill Line Saturday and Sunday. Bus service will be provided. MBTA riders can find out more here. Meanwhile, Cedar Park Station's parking lot will have reduced capacity from Thursday evening through Wednesday. The bridge work also means Saturday's Household Hazardous Waste Collection event to the High School, with access limited to the Melrose Street entrance. Residents are encouraged to put 44 Melrose St. into their GPS to get there.
