Long Beach Hosts Drug Take Back Event This Weekend

LONG BEACH, NY — Instead of throwing out old, unwanted medicine, Long Beach residents are encouraged to discard their bottles properly. The Long Beach Police Department is partnering with Long Beach Aware for a Drug Take Back event. It is scheduled for Sat., Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of City Hall. The program gives people the opportunity to clear out unused pills. It's part of the Drug Enforcement Agency's National Prescription Take Back Day.
