HENDERSON, NV — Flavor Flav, the Roosevelt-born rapper, was arrested in Nevada on a charge of domestic battery, TMZ.com reported.
Flav was taken into custody on Oct. 5 and faced a misdemeanor charge, TMZ said.
Police were called for a domestic disturbance and placed Flav in handcuffs. He was brought to the Henderson Detention Center, the entertainment website reported.
Flav, whose real name is William Drayton Jr., is accused of poking a woman's nose and pushing her down, Newsday reported.
Flav, 62, was co-founder of the iconic rap group Public Enemy. He grew up in Freeport.
Flav's manager said he is one year sober from alcohol, TMZ reported.
