Here are the top stories today in Buffalo: Buffalo's Common Council on Tuesday formally approved a settlement of nearly $1.275 million settlement with the estate of Craig Lehner. Lehner was a Buffalo Police Lieutenant who was killed during a training exercise in October of 2017. He was a member of the police department's underwater recovery team. The official incident report concluded Lehner drowned after his tether line became snagged on a boulder 25 feet under the water and he was not wearing a snap shackle, which is something that might have saved him. (WGRZ.com) CWA members outside Mercy Hospital continue to receive support from state and local leaders, as week three of their strike approaches.
