Homestead Road, one of the largest and fastest-growing real estate investment companies in the country, is hiring a Construction Manager to join their hard-working and innovative team. The construction manager plans, directs and coordinates activities pertaining to the construction, renovation and maintenance of an assigned property in accordance with company policies, and governmental regulations. This includes but is not limited to: --Anticipates and plans projects to meet expectations and timeline goals including: rehabilitation, repairs, and cleaning. --Evaluates specifications for plan procedures, start and completion dates, and staffing requirements for each phase of the construction project. Estimates the scope of work and obtains a minimum of three bids for comparison and completion of each job. --Hires, directs and motivates supervisory personnel, subcontractors and staff engaged in planning and executing work procedures. --Assists the lead manager in maintaining and overseeing service contracts, negotiates new contracts or terminates existing ones as required. --Reviews and approves all invoices pertaining to the construction department and submits all approved bills to the accounting department for processing and payment. The ideal candidate will have: --Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience --4+ years' supervisory experience in the construction field or experience as a general contractor --Superb time management and delegation skills --Excellent written/verbal communication skills --Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and project management tools a plus This position offers a full benefits package, including medical, dental, 401K, and paid time off.
