Kodo Kids designs, engineers and manufactures equipment for the early childhood education market. Our unique product offering and training materials supply a niche market need and are sold globally. We are a fast paced growing company eager to find dedicated employees willing to achieve the overall success of the company goals and standards. We manufacture products and furniture for the preschool market from various materials including Baltic Birch Plywood, HDPE plastic sheet, and plastic pipe. Our shop includes CNC’s, table saw, band saw and other typical woodshop machinery. Currently we have two locations which will be combined in the next few months to a larger newly upgraded facility. Our current Broomfield location is a small two man woodshop which functions as our small batch CNC production wood shop. We are looking for a motivated shop associate to learn our products and processes. Work will include hand routering parts after CNC cutting, drilling, sandings, and some light assembly. CNC and/orPartworks experience is a major plus. Your job duties would include, but are not limited to: - Working with wood, plastic, and a variety of other materials - Cutting, routering, sanding, gluing, drilling, painting etc. - Working with a CNC, band saw, table saw, sander, glue gun, drill press, chop saw etc. - Cleaning the shop and warehouse at the end of each day of production. - Keeping the shop organized. - Assemble and build products from parts inventory - Applying polyurethane - Operating CNC machine if experienced - Wearing dust mask/respirator, eye protection, hearing protection Occasionally our packing and shipping department requires extra help. It is possible that some of your time may include: - Packing product with foam, bubble wrap, craft paper etc in cardboard boxes - Strategically packing multiple products for the same order to minimize shipping cost, weight, and volume. - Bagging loose parts to make product kits - Unloading incoming materials and parts from pallets or pickup truck/trailers What we are looking for in a Shop / Assembly team member: - Commitment - someone who wants to be part of the team long-term - Experience in woodshop - Skilled in woodworking / tinkering / building etc. - Learns quickly - Attention to detail, product quality, and safety - Positive Can-Do Attitude - Dependable - comes to work on time ready to go - Basic computer and math skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills - Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail - Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods and lift 50 lbs as needed Work Schedule: - Full-Time position - 40 hrs a week - Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm work schedule with a paid 30 minute lunch and breaks. - We are currently offering half day Fridays, which means you would work an extra hour Monday - Thursday to make up the time. We are somewhat flexible.
