The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt. Oct. 7 Anna M. Triggs, 33, of New Lenox, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer saw a vehicle traveling with expired registration. The officer discovered that Triggs had a suspended driver's license. Triggs was arrested and taken to the NLPD. She posted bond and was released.Shane L. Geers, 35, of Joliet, was charged with retail theft. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to Walmart in the 500 block of East Lincoln Highway for a complaint of retail theft. Upon arrival, the officer met with the an employee and learned Geers had taken approximately $229.88 worth of merchandise without paying. Geers was arrested and taken to the NLPD. He posted bond and was released.Ariel Deboer, 30, of Midlothian, was charged with retail theft. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to Walmart in the 500 block of East Lincoln Highway for a retail theft complaint. The officer met with an employee and was told that Deboer had taken approximately $154.05 worth of merchandise from the store. Deboer was arrested and taken to the NLPD. She posted bond and was released.Oct. 8 Brant T. Peloquin, 18, of New Lenox, and Roger A. Phillips III, of Wilmington, were both charged with DUI; Phillips was also charged with possession of cannabis/possession of drug paraphernalia. According to police reports, officers was dispatched to the McDonalds in the 600 block of West Maple Street for a report of a disturbance in the drive thru. The officers were told that a vehicle was driving in reverse in the drive thru and was giving the employees a hard time, but the vehicle left McDonalds before the officer's arrived. The vehicle found a short time later and officers met with the driver, Peloquin, and his passenger, Phillips. The officer discovered that Peloquin was driving under the influence of drugs, and Phillips was in possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Both were arrested and taken to the NLPD. Both posted bond and were released.Oct. 11 Dawn Milella, 51, of Elwood, was charged with retail theft. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the Walmart in the 500 block of East Lincoln Highway for a retail theft complaint. The officer met with an employee and was told that Milella had taken approximately $166.36 worth of merchandise from the store. Milella was transported to the NLPD. She posted bond and was released.Oct. 13 Meredith H. Swanson, 24, of New Lenox, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer saw a vehicle traveling with an equipment violation. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and met with the driver, Swanson. The officer learned that Swanson had a suspended driver's license. Swanson was arrested and taken to the NLPD. She posted bond and was released.Oct. 14 Shanice F. Wynn, 27, of Joliet, was arrested for an outstanding warrant. According to police reports, an officer was on patrol saw a vehicle speeding in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and met with the driver, Wynn. The officer learned Wynn did not have a valid driver's license and had an active Will County warrant for her arrest. Wynn was arrested and taken to the NLPD. She posted bond and was releasedOct. 15 Ryan J. Olszewski, 31, of Romeoville, was charged with DUI and unlawful use of a weapon. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the intersection of Gougar Road and U.S. Route 30 for a report of a traffic accident. Upon arrival, the officer met with the driver of the single car accident, Olszewski. The officer learned that Olszewski was driving under the influence of alcohol. During the investigation, the officer learned that Olszewski was in possession of a loaded firearm without the proper credentials. Olszewski was arrested and taken to the NLPD.
