GRESHAM, OR — The number of new coronavirus-related cases in Oregon remains high. Not as high as it used to be but still higher than authorities would like. On Tuesday, the Oregon Health Authority said that there had been 1,366 new cases the day before along with 41 more deaths. Live in Gresham? That brings the totals to 353,368 cases and 4,266 deaths since the pandemic began. While the number of new cases has been declining, there are still enough cases that the pandemic is putting a tremendous strain on hospitals throughout the state. As of Tuesday, only 8 percent of adult ICU beds and 7 percent of adult non-ICU beds are open for new patients.
