WESTLAKE, OH — The annual Westlake Chili Cook-Off filled the city's Gathering Hall with delicious smells and happy faces last week.
Several different community groups and businesses competed in the juried competition: Banker's Life, Brookdale Gardens, Foundations Health Solutions, Our House, St. Mary of the Woods, Senior Care Authority, Symphony at Olmsted Falls and the Westlake Fire Department.
Their chili was judged by Mayor Dennis Clough, Ward 1 Councilperson Linda Appel, Economic Development Director Michelle Boczek, Recreation Director Paula Horner and Community Services Director Lydia Gadd.

Symphony at Olmsted Falls won first place from the judges, while the People's Choice Award went to Banker's Life, which also won second place overall from the judges.
