Press release from the Chicago Public Library: October 18, 2021 We're rolling out Sunday hours at more CPL locations beginning August 1st. Throughout 2021, we'll continue to roll out Sunday hours in all 81 locations. Starting this week, these branches will be open 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday: Albany Park Archer Heights Austin Austin-Irving Avalon Back of The Yards Beverly Brainerd Brighton Park Bucktown-Wicker Park Budlong Woods Canaryville Chicago Lawn Chinatown Coleman Douglass Dunning Edgewater Greater Grand Crossing Hall Hegewisch Independence Jefferson Park Kelly Lincoln Belmont Lincoln Park Little Italy Logan Square Mayfair McKinley Park Merlo Mt. Greenwood Northtown Oriole Park Portage-Cragin Richard M. Daley Rogers Park South Chicago South Shore Toman Uptown Vodak-East Side Walker West Belmont West Englewood West Pullman West Town Whitney M. Young, Jr. Harold Washington Library Center, Sulzer Regional, Woodson Regional, and Legler Regional are also already open on Sundays. Expanding Sunday hours is part of an ongoing effort by CPL and the Mayor's Office to ensure library services are more equitable and accessible for all Chicagoans.
