"In areas where there may be an increased impact of COVID-19, we have worked with families in specific schools or programs to adjust mitigation strategies," Schools spokesperson Tim McAvoy said told The Macomb Daily. "These adjustments have included the temporary use of face coverings or placing classes into remote learning."
Unlike neighboring Oakland and Wayne counties, Macomb County does not require masks to be worn in schools. Meanwhile, Oakland County reported zero new COVID-19 school outbreaks.
