Temporary Road Closures Scheduled In Douglasville

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — The city of Douglasville will close two different roads starting Wednesday, with reopenings planned after 30 days. The Brightstar Connector and Timber Ridge Road will be closed this Wednesday through Friday, Nov. 19. Crews will be installing the roundabout for the Silverman Phase 4 development along the Brightstar Connector, and road improvements will get underway on Timber Ridge for the Harmony at Douglasville Assisted Living Facility. Drivers can take Bill Arp Road, Veterans Memorial Highway and Brightstar Road as detours for the Brightstar Connector closure. View this map for additional details. For the Timber Ridge closure, residents are encouraged to take Prestley Mill Road to Slater Mill Road for southbound to northbound drivers, or Shawnee Trail to Slater Mill to Prestley Mill for northbound to southbound routes.
