'Community Night Out' Festival Coming To Vestavia Hills Thursday

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — Vestavia Hills is preparing to ring in the fall with the Fall Festival Community Night Out, a fall festival that will take place Thursday in front of Vestavia Hills City Hall. Sponsored by the Vestavia Hills Police and Fire departments, the free event is advertised as a "an opportunity for first responders to network with local businesses, civic groups, churches, schools, and community volunteers in a symbolic stance to promote public safety." But it's also a carnival, featuring free food, a DJ, a pumpkin patch, jump houses, kids activities, local vendors, and the chance to show off this year's Halloween costume. Community Night Out is scheduled for Thursday from 5-8 p.m. See here for more information.
