Sears Appliance Repair Scam, Our Shit Government Approves

Description

Called over the repair guy from Sears appliance repair because my washer kept stopping during the spin cycle. He came over but not to diagnose or repair my washer but instead just to convince me I need a new one. He first starts off telling me that these Maytag washers only last 5 to 10 years because they're poorly made now. He ran a two minute self-diagnose by turning the knobs like the combo on a safe and says he didn't see any errors so the main control board must be bad and to replace it would cost over $650 to replace the board much more than a new machine. He said don't worry because he sent me a coupon for 10% off a new Kenmore at Sears. At first I believed him and paid the $79 service fee. Right after I thought about it and something smelled fishy and I had the feeling he was lying so I went on-line and did research and found this problem is caused by the actuator not the control board. I bought a new one for $25 and installed it in ten minutes and now it works like new. I then called Sears appliance and asked for my money back but of course when you call they send you to India. The Indian guy said he filed my request and I should get a refund. Two weeks later I called back and the Indian girl said they denied my refund. Those Goddamn cowards at Sears don't even have the balls to talk to customers and instead they send you to India so you can yell at them instead. I contacted consumer affairs about the scam but the Goddamn bitch down there basically said too bad it's legal to lie, scam and cheat customers and nothing they can do and really they could care less if Sears is scamming people. The people working at consumer affairs are only there to collect their government check and not to actaully help anyone. Earlier this year I got ripped off when I took my car in for repair because the engine light kept coming on and the shops charged me a ton of money guessing at the problem and replacing parts that were still good and simply reset the computer then a few days later the light came back on so it still had the same exact problem. I took it back a few times and they finally admitted they can't figure out the problem but all three shops refused to refund me anything. I contacted the bureau of auto repair and they contacted the repair shops but the same bullshit as the repair shop said "oh yea the car needed all those sensors and parts replaced" and of course the bar sided with them.
