Questions about Salem Housing & Employment Agencies

Hi, I'm applying for positions with the state and other companies/agencies in Salem, trying to relocate from Portland. Does anyone have advice about temporary long-term housing if I have to move quickly? I have a housing wanted ad here on CL. I check every day on affordable AirBNB's (I found 2) for a long-term stay. The others are outrageous. $2,000 a month and up for a room to rent. There is a Residence Inn in Salem. They won't even give you a discount for long-term stays. $160 a night! -- Also -- has anyone used a job agency in Salem they feel really wants to help skilled people find good jobs? I have not had good luck with agencies. Thank you very much for any advice/information!
