Mead Gilman And Associates, a land surveying firm with 50 years of experience in the area, is looking for motivated people who want to work in the field. We are currently hiring chainpersons with no prior knowledge of surveying at a starting wage of $20/hour + benefits. This is an entry level position for bright and hardworking people who want to begin a career in a unique field that requires a mental and physical component. There are no limits to advancement within the company, 2 of the 4 owners started at this position. This is an outdoor position working on a 2-person crew where you will learn about boundary, mapping, and construction principles on the job – the only thing you will need to bring is a pair of boots. Typical projects include: -residential surveys in people's backyards to establish their property lines -mapping property to be developed including commercial properties, woods, and open spaces -staking utilities, roads, and buildings on construction sites Benefits: -Medical/Vision/Dental coverage paid for employee -3 weeks PTO a year -Self directed IRA matching program
