Snow Removal for Elderly - $20/hour all over Hennepin County

Winter is just around the corner, and that means snow will soon start to fall and pile up! The Senior Community Services HOME Program has almost 400 Elderly clients who are in need of compassionate, service-oriented snow removal workers to clear snow for them. Snowfall may not seem like a big deal to many people, but to those who aren't physically able to shovel, dealing with snow is stressful. The HOME Program strives to alleviate this stress by pairing snow-removal workers with seniors in Hennepin County. When working with us, you will be assigned a group of seniors and every time it snows 2 or more inches, you will go clear their snow for them. You will also actively manage their expectations and the client relationship. When it snows, it will need to be removed within 24 hours of the snow stopping. Locations include most Hennepin County cities, but the area of biggest need right now is S. Minneapolis & Bloomington: Area 1: Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove, New Hope, Robbinsdale, Crystal, Golden Valley, Plymouth, Hopkins, and Minnetonka. Area 2: Edina, Eden Prairie, Bloomington, Richfield, and St Louis Park Area 3 (Westonka): Wayzata, Woodland, Deephaven, Excelsior, Shorewood, Tonka Bay, Minnetonka Beach, Orono, Long Lake, Spring Park, Greenwood, and Mound. Area 4: City of Minneapolis Pay: $20 per hour. Hours vary and are determined by the weather. Qualifications: - Supply your own shovel and/or snow blower - Reliable transportation - Must be 16 years old or older - Record dates of service - Physically able to remove snow - Commit to the entire snow removal season - Speak and interact with senior clients respectfully Senior Community Services is passionate about enhancing the quality of lives of older adults and caregivers.
