Title: Custodian Supervisor: Facilities Manager Position Overview The Custodian performs custodial and general maintenance duties in and around the Temple facilities as needed. As directed by the Facilities Manager will also assist with executing the setup and takedown plans for a wide variety of Temple, Religious School, and ECC events, as well as rental events such as B'nei Mitzvahs, weddings, etc. Duties and Responsibilities • Clean and sanitize restrooms using established cleaning practices and procedures • Refilling restroom dispensers • Clean, dust and wipe furniture, sweep, mop or vacuum floors, empty/clean wastebaskets, trash containers • Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers as well as brooms, mops and squeegees for the general cleaning and maintenance of the floors, walls, carpets and furniture • Strips and waxes floors, shampoos carpet and upholstered furniture • Assist with inventory control and security; • Assists the Facilities Manager as needed in unskilled duties, such as carrying materials and equipment, and removing debris; • Prepares coffee and other designated refreshments, delivering to designated areas. • Other tasks as may be assigned by Facilities Manager.
