Established and well respected pet sitting company is looking for enthusiastic and reliable animal loving individuals who have pet sitting, dog walking, and vet tech experience, to join our growing team of pet care professionals. This part-time position is a great opportunity for animal care givers to make extra income and spend time caring for our clients’ fur kids. About the Position This is a part-time position. While clients are away, our employees are responsible for visiting their homes and caring for their cat or dog (feeding, walking, cleaning the litter box, playtime, etc). Visits typically last 30 minutes and we also provide overnight care in a clients home. The sitter is responsible for sending the client details of the home visit via text or email, and typically be available for client meetings and home visits each week. Travel to client homes is required, though we try to work with you to find locations that are convenient for you. The right candidate must be available evenings and weekends, and on holidays. Locations we service include Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens. Applicants must have: - Excellent people skills and pet care skills - Incredible time management skills - you must adhere to our client’s schedules - A smartphone - Availability on holidays, weekends, and morning and evenings - Past experience working with animals strongly preferred - Comfort with and a love of animals, and no allergies to pets. You should not be afraid of a cat swipe, hiss or scratch or a dog nipping on your hand; sometimes our furry friends need time to adjust to a stranger entering their home. Our employees must be reliable and dependable. The care and safety of our client's pets is our main priority. These animals rely on you to feed them and care for them every day. Once you commit to a sit, you must show up. You will also need to agree to a background check before hiring.
