We are always looking for qualified and experienced individuals to direct and staff our campuses and currently have an opening for a Wind Turbine Technician Instructor at our Norfolk, VA campus. Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks: • Teach classes on a regularly scheduled basis as assigned. • Assist program coordinator in maintaining any equipment used by the student, developing curriculum, preparing course materials, and scheduling • Establish and maintain academic and attendance records for student files • Maintain a neat and orderly classroom or lab • Submit attendance, grades, student evaluation, and all other required reports/documentation to the program coordinator per established procedures Wind Turbine Technician Instructor • Notify program coordinator of any current or potential problems which warrant his/her attention • Actively utilize proven retention techniques approved by the school • Complete performance-based teacher education modules as assigned by program coordinator or as needed based on outcomes of classroom observations, instructor evaluations, and student completed surveys • Attend in-service training seminars as required • Any other duties, tasks, or projects that may be assigned by the Program Coordinator, Director of Education, or Campus Executive Director. Requirements: • MUST have High School diploma or GED • MUST have at least (3) years field experience as a wind turbine technician • MUST present a professional image and conduct him/herself in the same manner • MUST be able to communicate with staff, faculty, and students • Excellent Microsoft Office skills • CampusVue and SharePoint experience a plus • Ability and willingness to work split schedule to teach morning and evening classes • OSHA 10-hour safety certification (within three months of hire date) • CPR certification current or (within three months of hire date) Employee Benefits: • Medical Health Insurance, Dental and Vision Insurance, Life and Disability Insurance • 401k Retirement Plan • 2 weeks of annual vacation plus holidays and paid time off • Educational Assistance
